Ramcharitmanas is the magnificent epic poem by the saint-poet Tulsidas (c. 1532–1623), retelling the story of Lord Rama in the Awadhi dialect of Hindi — one of the most beloved and widely recited scriptures in the Hindu world. Composed with profound devotion and poetic genius, it presents Rama not only as a heroic king but as the supreme Lord incarnate, and every verse is considered a blessing to those who read or hear it. This particular part of the Ramcharitmanas is one of several sections into which the epic is traditionally divided, each contributing to the complete and luminous whole.
