Divine Love

Fix your mind on Me; be My devotee; worship Me; bow to Me — you shall come to Me, I promise you truly, for you are dear to Me.

In whatever way they approach Me, I respond to them in exactly that way. Human beings everywhere follow My path, O Partha.

Among all human beings there is none who does Me a dearer service than such a one; nor shall there ever be another on earth more beloved to Me.

Hear again My supreme word, the most secret of all; because you are deeply cherished by Me, I shall speak for your good.

Whoever offers Me with devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or water — that offering of love from the pure-hearted one, I accept and receive.

I am equally disposed toward all beings; none is hateful to Me, none is dear; yet those who worship Me with devotion — they are in Me and I am in them.

Among these, the one of wisdom, ever steadfast and of single-pointed devotion, is distinguished above all. For I am exceedingly dear to the wise one, and that one is dear to Me.

In this way, gradually and quickly, divine calm and peace will be infused into your soul, along with a wonderful and sublime knowledge of God, wrapped in divine love.

The person who lives in God's love must be detached from themselves and all created things, and consider themselves just one among millions.

Everything can be achieved simply through the love of God. If one is able to love God, they will not lack anything.

The essence of all spiritual discipline is the love of God. Through love, one naturally acquires renunciation and discrimination.

To love the creation is the real way to love the Creator. After coming to the world, man has forgotten the Creator; he goes on working, ignoring the Creator.

These humanitarian gestures are virtuous, because for a moment they divert man's attention from himself, but they do not free him from his single responsibility in life: the uplifting obligation to love God.

The beginning of love is search, but the end is rest: water flows in the river-bed, but when it reaches the ocean it ceases to flow and changes its taste.

Unless the whole universe is a man's trysting-place where he comes nigh unto God and a retired chamber where he enjoys intimacy with God, he is still a stranger to Divine love; but when he has vision the whole universe is his sanctuary.

If the whole world wished to attract love, they could not; and if they made the utmost efforts to repel it, they could not. Love is a Divine gift, not anything that can be acquired.

In love there is no self-interest, no selfishness. Love that rests on the foundation of selfishness is not love at all.

Religion means to embrace: religion first adopts the Timeless, Formless God into one's own life, and then beholds the Formless Lord in every heart. Religion is the very means by which we begin to deal with everyone with love. For one who loves the Formless, no one remains a stranger, no one remains an outsider.

Life's distinction comes only by forging a bond with the Master. This Master is right near you; for this you need not go anywhere far. He pervades every particle. See such a Master as near, love Him, and always taking His support, journey through this life.

If man is aligned to God, he will automatically start loving the fellow beings, the living images of the Almighty. He will consider everybody of his own, dear and near.
