Atheism

They say the world is without truth, without foundation, without a ruling Lord — born of mutual union, caused by nothing but desire.

This knowledge should not be shared with someone who lacks faith, is an atheist, has abandoned their duties, lacks compassion, engages in meaningless arguments, is hostile to their teachers, or sees all creatures as separate from themselves.

Greed alone is a great destroyer of merit and goodness. Sin arises from greed, and it is the source of sin, irreligion, and great suffering.

Any ignoble Kshatriyas who flee from battle will incur sin and hell, just like atheists who turn away from the Vedas.

There is no god equal to a husband in all the worlds, including the celestial realm.

All confusion ends when one realizes that God manifests as both the atheist and the believer, the good and the bad, and is present in waking and sleep, beyond all these.

There is no God in the written word, in intoxication, or in sleep

If we keep speaking but don't practice what we say, we force the world to deny God's existence instead of guiding them to the truth.

Those people whose king is unrighteous and atheistic in conduct and belief can never be happy. Such people can never sleep or wake in peace.

Those who are greedy, merciless, have abandoned their duties, are dishonest, deceitful, mean, sinful, suspicious, idle, procrastinating, have a crooked disposition, are universally despised, dishonor their preceptor, are addicted to vices, abandon distressed friends, have a wicked soul, are shameless, sin-oriented, atheist, slander the Vedas, unrestrained, lustful, untruthful, deserted, restraint-transgressing, deceitful, wisdom-less, envious, sin-wedded, conduct-bad, soul-uncleansed, cruel, gambler, friend-injuring, wealth-coveting

The consistent materialist seeks limited and temporary power, knowledge, and happiness, only as much as the dominant natural order allows to the struggling human consciousness, if one accepts limitations and obeys the laws of nature.

This physical mentality is just the surface level of our mind, the part that interacts with the physical world. However, beneath this, even in our earthly existence, there is a deeper, subconscious aspect that recognizes itself as more than just the physical body and is capable of less materialistic actions.

The things that seem to deny God, or are the opposites of true existence, consciousness, and bliss, are real, even if they are temporary.

The materialist's denial, although more insistent and immediately successful, and more appealing to the general public, is ultimately less lasting and less effective than the ascetic's refusal.

People who can't commit to one faith and keep switching between them often end up as atheists in their old age, abandoning religion altogether.
