Atheism

They say the world is without truth, without foundation, without a ruling Lord — born of mutual union, caused by nothing but desire.

If we go on speaking but do not practice the same in life, we will be compelling the world to deny the existence of God, instead of bringing them closer to the truth. This is the reason why atheism is spreading in the world today.

This knowledge should not be shared with someone who lacks faith, is an atheist, has abandoned their duties, lacks compassion, engages in meaningless arguments, is hostile to their teachers, or sees all creatures as separate from themselves.

Greed alone is a great destroyer of merit and goodness. Sin arises from greed, and it is the source of sin, irreligion, and great suffering.

Any ignoble Kshatriyas who flee from battle will incur sin and hell, just like atheists who turn away from the Vedas.

There is no god equal to a husband in all the worlds, including the celestial realm.

No god, no living being is free from the supreme decree of fate. Even Indra must reap the consequences of their virtuous and sinful actions.

The scientific or materialist objection cannot maintain its validity if there is a secret consciousness in or behind the apparently unconscious energy in matter.

Narada says in his Sutras, 'Do not listen to discussions about women, wealthy men, atheists, and enemies.'

Jesus taught people to change their perspective. He told them that if they changed their outlook from materialistic to spiritual, they would realize that the world they lived in was God's Kingdom.

A person accustomed to worldly, materialistic thoughts and surroundings will feel restless and uncomfortable in a pure and renounced atmosphere.

All confusion ends when one realizes that God manifests as both the atheist and the believer, the good and the bad, and is present in waking and sleep, beyond all these.

There is only one way to make the world happy: that we understand the true meaning of religion and then adopt it in our lives. Today, seeing the wrong things being done in the name of religion, people are turning into atheists. Only by truly adopting religion themselves can the saints and holy ones awaken faith in religion among people.

The very reason atheism spreads in the world today is that one who claims to be religious, who claims to be a saint or devotee, does not act accordingly. Words may come from his mouth, but his hand too is doing wrong and his feet too go that way. When an ordinary person sees such conduct of so-called religious people, he turns away from religion.

This voice of Truth will truly reach the world only when our life and our actions are also in accordance with this voice. If we merely keep speaking words but such action does not arise in our life, then instead of bringing the world closer to Truth, we will force it to turn away from God.

In this world there are some people who feel no hunger, whose attention does not turn toward God, who do not even believe in God. And there are others who do believe, yet have no desire to attain Him; they find the other affairs of the world more important and remain entangled in them alone.

Today people are increasingly becoming atheists. Among the many causes of this atheism is the heaven-and-earth gap between the words and the deeds of those who are called religious. In their words they wish the good of all, but their deeds are more terrible than those of savage beasts; seeing this, today's educated class is drifting away from religion and from the very existence of God.

Man! why dost thou twist a rope of sand? With such a line, Burden-bearer! the ship will not progress for thee. That which Narayana wrote for thee in the line of fate, that, Good Sir! none can reverse for thee.

Those people whose king is unrighteous and atheistic in conduct and belief can never be happy. Such people can never sleep or wake in peace.

Those who are greedy, merciless, have abandoned their duties, are dishonest, deceitful, mean, sinful, suspicious, idle, procrastinating, have a crooked disposition, are universally despised, dishonor their preceptor, are addicted to vices, abandon distressed friends, have a wicked soul, are shameless, sin-oriented, atheist, slander the Vedas, unrestrained, lustful, untruthful, deserted, restraint-transgressing, deceitful, wisdom-less, envious, sin-wedded, conduct-bad, soul-uncleansed, cruel, gambler, friend-injuring, wealth-coveting
