Redemption

Abandoning all duties, take refuge in Me alone; I shall free you from all sins — grieve not.

Even if a person of the most wicked conduct worships Me with undivided devotion, he is to be regarded as righteous, for he has resolved rightly.

Even if you were the most sinful among all sinners, you would cross over all transgression on the raft of knowledge alone.

Suppose a man spends one dinar in religious war, another in ransoming a slave, a third in charity, and gives the fourth to his wife, the giving of this last surpasses in merit all the others put together.

Just like the animal soul's health depends on the balance of its parts, which can be restored with medicine when needed, the human soul's health relies on a moral balance maintained and repaired through ethical teachings and moral principles.

To atone for having relations with the wife of a Brahmin who is well-versed in the Vedas, one should observe a strict vow of celibacy for three years, eating only a little food at the end of the day.

Once someone has been hurt and they retaliate, it's impossible to restore the friendship.

If the invading enemy has a pure heart and is familiar with both morality and profit, the king should immediately make peace with the invader and restore the conquered portions of the kingdom.

The Horse-sacrifice is a great ritual that can help you atone for your sins. Prepare for this sacrifice, and you will be free from your sins.

Be united with Kesava and reconcile with Yudhishthira. Seek the great good of the Bharatas, like a grand ceremony of appeasement, through Vasudeva's agency, bind yourself closely with the Pandavas.

Restore, O King, the dead Vanaras who shed their blood nobly for me. Recall my friends to life and strength, and bring them back from Yama's hall.

I counsel you once again: repent, avoid the mortal punishment, restore the lady's honor, and implore pardon for your sin.

Our king Sugriva sends us, the Vanaras, to aid his friend so that the lady can be restored to her sorrowing lord.

Rama's grace restored him to fame, to the empire over the Vanara race, and freed him from endless fear and labor. He was restored to Ruma and to me.

'Those who sin are purified by the punishment of kings, and like the virtuous, they attain heaven. By suffering or making full atonement, they reap the rewards of their righteous actions. While kings who do not punish incur the penalties of those who err.'

I will free your captive wife and restore your kingdom to you.

Now, devout people offer the freshly sprouted corn to God and the trees, and they atone for their sins through humble sacrifices.

Now, let's go to the prosperous and beautiful Ayodhya, and with me, Oh Raghu's son, restore it, and to protect and delight everyone in our house, install yourself as the king. A king, in the world's opinion, is a man, but to me, he seems like a God, whose life in virtuous thoughts and actions surpasses the lives of other men.

If you show respect to your guest, it will cleanse your misguided heart, restore you to my side in bliss, and give you back your true form.

Lest Sorrow's army destroys your heart's kingdom, I send my life to bring you peace again, dear life, as your ransom.
