Vis'vámitra

This Brahman sage, most glorious and bright, has achieved a wonderful feat through long and intense spiritual practices, beyond what can be thought.

Then they sat around Saint Visvamitra, pure and pleased.

There is no one more blessed than you, Rama, for you have found a saint who has guided your life through intense spiritual practices.

The son of Kusik remained unmoved, he heard the pleas of the immortals and expressed the unchanging purpose of his heart in proud words: 'Be calm, gods, I have sworn to take Trisanku to the sky in his physical body, and I cannot cancel or deny my promise.

Let the king ascend to heaven in his physical body, to a life that will never end. And let these new stars I have created shine forever, firm and secure.

And, filled with deep repentance and sorrow, he saw the fair one standing nearby with suppliant hands and a trembling eye.

Then Vis'vámitra, even more focused, directed his mind towards stricter penance.
