Śrī Śuka

Śrī Śuka said: This was told to you earlier — how the king of Cedi attained perfection though he hated Hṛṣīkeśa. How much more, then, those who are dear to the Lord beyond the senses?

O king, the manifestation of the Lord — who is imperishable, immeasurable, beyond the material qualities, yet the soul of all qualities — is for the sake of the highest good of human beings.

Those who constantly direct toward Hari their lust, anger, fear, affection, sense of unity and friendship — they indeed attain absorption in Him.
