Sri Sankara

Sri Sankara writes in the commentary on Chhandogya Upanishad (VII-xx-1) that a person's duty consists in controlling the senses and concentrating the mind.

Sri Sankara says in his Atma Bodha: "Karmic rituals cannot destroy ignorance, because they are not in conflict with each other."

His philosophy has brought comfort, peace, and enlightenment to countless people in both the East and the West.
