Śrī Havi

One who shows love toward the Lord, friendship toward those devoted to Him, mercy toward the innocent, and indifference toward the hostile — he is a middling devotee.

One who faithfully endeavors to worship Hari only in the deity form, but not toward His devotees or toward other beings — he is considered a materialistic [neophyte] devotee.

Śrī Havi said: One who sees in all beings the presence of the Lord who is his own Self, and sees all beings within the Lord who is the Self — he is the topmost devotee.
