Śrī Camasa

Śrī Camasa said: From the mouth, arms, thighs and feet of the [cosmic] Person, together with the [four] āśramas, the four varṇas were born — the brāhmaṇas and the rest — distinguished severally by their qualities.

In this world the indulgence in sex, meat and liquor is natural to the living being; there is no [scriptural] command enjoining it. Rather there is a regulation of them — through marriage, sacrifice, and the ritual taking of liquor — and abstention from these is what is [truly] enjoined.

Those among them who do not worship, and who disrespect, the Supreme Person, the Lord who is the very source of their existence, fall from their station and sink downward.
