Saunaka

Saunaka said, 'Abandoning arrogance and pride, I wish you to show regard for me, king. Engage in the good of all creatures, always remembering the principles of righteousness.

A king, initially being very stern, then shows compassion and does good to all creatures through his actions.

Sacrifice, charity, compassion, the Vedas, and truth, oh lord of the earth, are the five things that cleanse. The sixth is penance performed well.
