You should always focus on virtue, because a virtuous person achieves bliss in this life and the next.

Never humiliate a Brahmin, because an angry Brahmin can destroy the three worlds with their vow.

Be merciful to all living beings and devoted to their well-being. Love all creatures without exception. Speak the truth, be humble, control your passions, and always protect your people.

To attain heaven, one should give to Brahmanas whatever they wish to donate, under all circumstances.

The gods are pleased with those who satisfy the Brahmanas. Indeed, one can attain heaven by pleasing a Brahmana.

The sacred fires are not as pleased with offerings of clarified butter, flowers, and perfumed pastes as they are with the act of hosting guests. Therefore, strive to entertain guests.

One who knows all the Vedas should give only to a capable Brahmana who can rescue both the giver and himself.

Women give birth to their children at great risk to themselves and with great pain, and then raise their kids with immense love.

Markandeya said, 'If a thousand Horse-sacrifices and Truth were weighed in the balance, I do not know whether the former would even weigh half as much as the latter.'

राजा युधिष्ठिर ने श्रीमान मार्कंडेय से सुना कि राजा इन्द्रद्युम्न ने स्वर्ग प्राप्त करने की कहानी फिर से मुनि से पूछी, 'हे महान मुनि, मुझे बताएं कि किस स्थिति में एक व्यक्ति को दान करना चाहिए ताकि वह इंद्र के क्षेत्र में प्रवेश प्राप्त कर सके?

One who practices these three kinds of purity will attain

The guest who comes to one's home for food is none other than Indra himself.
