When one thinks about sense objects, a person's attachment to them arises. From attachment, anger arises; from anger, a lack of discernment; from a lack of discernment, loss of memory; from loss of memory, loss of understanding; and from loss of understanding, one is completely ruined.

However, the self-controlled person, who enjoys sense objects with senses free from attachment and aversion, and is in control, attains peace of mind.

You are capable, O Bharata, of teaching even the gods about the origin and dissolution of living beings.

The dissolution of created beings and the reward of righteousness are well known to you, O wise one, for you are an ocean of virtue and duty.
