Confucius

Confucius says, "Virtue should be like the love of beauty, driven by an inner constraint. Have enough self-control to compare yourself with others and treat them the way you wish to be treated."

Each person should carefully guard their words and watch their behavior. They should avoid everything that is base and disturbing, and instead choose benevolence as their foundation, righteousness as their path, propriety as their guide, wisdom as their light, and faithfulness as their core value.

A superior person is open-minded and not biased. They do what is appropriate for their position and do not try to exceed their limits.

A scholar considers honesty and integrity as their armor and helmet, and propriety and righteousness as their shield and protection.

A virtuous leader is like the North Star, which remains in its place and causes all other stars to revolve around it. The character of the leader determines the character of their subjects.
