Brahma

Pleased with your constant penance, we assign this lofty rank to you.

You are the creator of the worlds and their destroyer. You preserve the three worlds and promote all sacrifices and ceremonies.

You are the sacrifice, the stay, and the refuge of the universe. You are Bhava, Mahadeva, the abode of all things, and the highest refuge.

You are self-born, with no origin other than yourself.

Brahma said, 'This Vaijayanta mountain is my residence. With a concentrated mind, I meditate on the one universal being of infinite proportions.'

Brahma said, 'All the various beings in the universe have this one being as their basis. Since this one being is the source from which all other beings have emerged, they can all enter into this one being if they give up their individual attributes. This one being is the universe, supreme, eternal, and attribute-less.'

He is eternal and immutable, undeteriorating and immeasurable, and He pervades all things.

Assuming the form of monkeys, you go to the earth and adore the feet of Lord Hari.

Brahma said, 'I highly regard you for your knowledge of divine mysteries, before the whole assembly of revered sages distinguished for their sanctity of life.'

You alone are always pure in the universe, and you are its support.

That child is the divine Hara, the Lord of the entire mobile and immobile universe. There is nothing superior to Maheswara.

You are the origin of the universe, the foremost of all abodes, and the ocean of Yoga with all its branches.

I was created by you, the Vedas are my eyes, and thus I transcend time itself.

Rudra said, 'The reason for this must be significant.' Brahma said, 'The one being I am thinking of transcends all and is invisible.'

The Supreme Purusha can be seen only with the aid of knowledge.

A person's actions are like the soil, and their destiny, or the sum of their past actions, is like the seed. The union of these two produces the harvest.

Brahma said, focus your mind on the feet of Lord Hari. The Lord knows the distress of His servants and will put an end to your suffering.

Wake up from your yoga sleep and give me back my eyes.

By casting off the consciousness of body and the senses, and by casting off all acts, good and bad, and by casting off both truth and falsehood, one succeeds in divesting oneself of attributes.
