Baba Hardev Singh Ji was the third spiritual head of the Sant Nirankari Mission from 1980 to 2016, transforming it into a truly global humanitarian and spiritual organisation recognised by the United Nations. Born in Delhi in 1954 as the son of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, Baba Hardev Singh Ji assumed spiritual leadership of the Sant Nirankari Mission in 1980 at the age of 25 following his father's assassination. Over the next three-and-a-half decades he guided the mission's transformation into an internationally recognised spiritual and humanitarian body, earning it special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
