Wisdom Booth — app & website
Do I need an account to use the app?
No. Wisdom Booth is guest-first — you can read the daily quote, explore all 170 saints and topics, search, and save quotes without ever signing in. Accounts (to sync your saved quotes across devices) are a planned future addition.
Where are my saved quotes stored?
Only on your device. Your saved quotes, reading streak and preferences never leave your phone. Because there are no accounts yet, they are not backed up to the cloud — reinstalling the app clears them.
How is the daily quote chosen?
One quote is selected each day, rotated across traditions so the same faith doesn't dominate. The “More to reflect on” row shows one quote from each of several traditions, refreshed daily (pull down to re-roll).
Why didn't my daily reminder appear?
Make sure notifications are allowed for Wisdom Booth in your phone's Settings, and that the “Daily wisdom” toggle is on in the app's Settings. On Android, also check the “Daily Wisdom” notification channel isn't muted.
Can I read the full text of a source book?
Quotes link back to their source book and saint. Where a book is in print, we may show a link to buy it; some links earn us a small commission, which keeps the app free. This feature is rolling out gradually.
What data does the app collect?
The app collects anonymous crash/performance diagnostics (Sentry) and anonymous product-usage analytics (PostHog) to stay stable and improve — never linked to your identity, never used to track you across apps, and never the text of your searches or saved quotes. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Saved quotes and preferences live only on your device — clear them in the app or by uninstalling. To request deletion of diagnostic or analytics data, email us (below) and we'll action it.
The corpus has a misattribution or error.
We take attribution seriously and continually audit the corpus against original sources. If you spot a quote credited to the wrong author or tradition, please email us with the quote and the correct source.
